Fundamentals of Disaster Assessment
The purpose of this course is to introduce the role of Disaster Assessment, explore related preparedness tasks, learn how to collect and communicate disaster assessment information, and become familiar with how disaster assessment information supports management and service delivery decisions during a Red Cross disaster relief operation.
This course is a blended learning course consisting of two components, online and instructor-led. Successful completion of both course components is required to receive a certificate of course completion. The online training component of the course resides on the Red Cross Learning Management System (LMS). Please contact the Western Wisconsin Chapter office for information about how to register and information about LMS portion of the course. The on-line portion must be completed prior to the instructor-lead portion. After completing the course, you will receive a completion certificate. Bring the certificate to class to receive the instructor's signature.
